My sense of smell became weakend by stress

Farmer's Market in Brooklyn.

My scent journey began in 2008. I was in the most stressful situation in my life: living in a new place, starting a new job, recently divorced,
beginning a new relationship, and other various overwhelming events.

Without knowing it, I was becoming sick with an olfactory disorder.

I lost my sense of smell (for several years during the process of my divorce) up until one weekly visit to a Farmer’s Market,
when I suddenly felt the strong smell of fresh plants and vegetables while walking past the many colorful bushels.
I will never forget the joy of breathing and being able to smell again at that moment.

It was “scent” that taught me that I am alive and the power of verdure to fill one with vitality.
